Building and playing with this 1/3 scale model informed a couple of necessary changes :
- the floor must be thicker and "articulated" to resist the most violent waves.
- large surfaces need to be strongly triangulated, in addition to the steel mesh.
- hey, wood is such a nice material, we might use more of it.

So, yes, we are actively looking for a construction site, if possible in London to build this :
- 9.6 meters in diameter
- 4.5 meters high
- about 2 tons in total, BUT every single piece is lightweight and human maniputable : which means, we can easily move individual parts around and assemble them on a slipway, or on the shore when the tide is low.
We don't need to have such an immense space in one piece : we can build bits by bits and take parts by parts to the water.
We have currently visited 4 sites, many are almost OK, we still believe we should search more, for now all solutions we have are very complicated... If you know a large workshop, a derelict factory, a pier, a boat construction yard, a nice backyard, a big parking lot ... Whatever you have as land, we are interested, let us know : coordination@opensailing.net.
